Japanese refineries set target for IMO-compliant fuel availability
The Petroleum Association of Japan said refiners are already talking to the shipping industry and will be ready to supply marine fuel complying with the International Maritime Organization’s global sulphur cap regulations by late 2019: Platts report
Japanese want IMO-compliant fuel readily on sale by October-November this year so that there are no last-minute problems when real deadline of January 2020 takes effect
