Los Angeles works to become the port of the future
Following the congestion problems it faced in 2014, Los Angeles needed to get better visibility of its container flows. The answer came from technology that lets the port see what is due up to two weeks before it arrives
Long-term goal is to improve data flow among cargo owners, shipping lines, and other stakeholders so that port and terminal operators have an extended window of time to track inbound cargo
