K Line warns of wider losses linked to ONE charters
Losses will widen to ¥100bn from the ¥20bn previously forecast as continued restructuring efforts take a toll on its bottom line. The Japanese line is taking a ¥65bn impairment charge due to losses related to containership charters to Ocean Network Express, as well as charter cancellations for its dry bulkers
Dry bulk segment will focus on capesizes going forward, while new businesses such as LNG bunkering will be developed
