Growth is slowing, but no recession in sight for 2019

The risk of a recession jumps to 50% in 2020 and 2021 from just about a third this year, according to renowned economist Nariman Behravesh. Factors such as policy mistakes, oil shocks, or the bursting of asset bubbles could increase the risk of growth slowing

The probability of a recession is not high, he said but added that it does not take ‘much to push the global economy over the edge’
