US west coast plays minor role in US energy exports
While the region produces no coal itself, coal-producing regions in Wyoming and Montana use rail to reach west coast ports, playing a small but vital part in the Trumpian energy platform. As with oil, however, the US west coast plays little or no role in the export of LNG
The West Coast is far from the commercially accessible reserves of oil and natural gas needed for export and so takes on a lesser role compared to east and Gulf coast ports
