Piraeus and Venice to step up co-operation in ‘Silk Road’ strategy
Piraeus and Venice have signed a pact that envisages stepping up co-operation between the two ports, with an emphasis on such areas as information technology, attracting investment and communications. The move, aimed at improving performance and connectivity, follows the recent launch of a Cosco feedering service between the Greek and Italian hubs and has been driven by the demand of China’s Belt and Road Initiative
