Wood Mackenzie predicts slower growth for FLNGs
A shortage of new project opportunities and competition for capital from a hot LNG market are among the challenges facing the floating LNG market, according to a new WoodMac report. Though now a proven technology, the consultancy predicts there will be fewer FLNG final investment decisions until costs are reduced and more experience is gained
Lacking economies of scale, FLNG projects are likely to be limited to small scale and remote locations as they compete for buyers, financing and partners in a crowded market
