Greece adopts shipping programme for schools
Five Greek shipowners have provided the first ships for ‘adoption’ as the Adopt-a-Ship concept is trialed this month in a handful of Greek schools for the first time. The concept, already operating in Cyprus, India, the Philippines and the US, among other countries, is aimed at making schoolchildren more familiar with maritime matters and the role of shipping in our lives
