Maersk boasts fuel transparency device to boost its bunkering credentials
Maersk will install a mass flow meter on two chartered-in bunker barges from bunker craft operator Hong Lam in Singapore; the investment is designed to improve the efficiency of the bunkering of high sulphur fuel oil for Maersk’s vessels; the news comes less than four months after Maersk Line declared it will install scrubbers on some of its boxships before the 2020 global sulphur cap takes effect
