ICE to offer 0.5% sulphur fuels futures contracts

With industry expecting a high price differential between sulphur cap-compliant fuels and heavy fuel oil in 2020 when the new rules kick in, the Intercontinental Exchange has heeded calls by customers for futures contracts. Beginning in February 2019, ICE will offer 0.5% fuels futures contracts settled against S&P Global Platts valuations

The exchange and clearing house operator will offer contracts starting in February based on Rotterdam, Singapore and US Gulf Coast prices
