Polaris sends converted VLOC to scrapyard

Polaris has sent one of its converted very large ore carriers to a scrapyard, Lloyd’s List Intelligence data shows. The vessel, which was built in 1990 as a tanker, was converted to a bulker in 2008. This type of vessel has been in the spotlight after the sinking of the Stellar Daisy last year

The vessel has ended up at a breakers in Chittagong, Bangladesh
