Contships eyes further expansion of feeder fleet
A dip in feeder containership market charter rates has not fazed Greece-based Contships Management, which has rapidly acquired a 30-ship fleet and appears to be eyeing softer values as a further buying opportunity. Owner Nikolaos Pateras says the aim, under the right circumstances, is to double the present fleet but an already-reported deal for four German-owned feeders appears to be taking a long time to close
