Scorpio Group invests $122m in hybrid-ready scrubbers

Scorpio’s publicly listed bulker and tanker units will install scrubbers capable of upgrade to a closed-loop configuration on up to 80 of its vessels, with options for another 46. At a total cost of $122m, the two companies will pay an average of just over $1.5m per scrubber

The hybrid systems will allow Scorpio’s ships to trade in areas where open-loop scrubbers are banned
