Diamond S agrees $1.65bn merger with Capital Product Partners

The world’s third-largest publicly traded product tanker operator and fifth-largest tanker company will soon be born. Diamond S and Capital Product Partners have agreed to merge their tanker businesses, creating a 68-vessel fleet. The new company, Diamond S Shipping, is expected to be listed in the New York Stock Exchange

The new company will control 68 crude and product tankers and will be led by Diamond S’s management team
