Danaos eyes scrubbers for first 11 vessels after profitable third quarter

Greece-based containership owner Danaos is the latest shipowner to buy scrubbers — for six vessels, with another five under discussion — after earlier disclosing that some charterers had been ‘nibbling’ about the subject. The move came to light as the US-listed owner of 59 vessels posted improved results for the third quarter
