Canada imposes 25% tariffs on steel imports

The Canadian government announces tariffs ‘exceeding historical norms’ beginning on October 25 to protect its steel industry from overseas producers looking for new markets

The tariffs will be in place for 200 days while the Canadian International Trade Tribunal determines whether final safeguards are warranted
