Hapag-Lloyd spells out low-sulphur charging mechanism
Carriers have been accused of lacking transparency in the surcharges they will apply to recover costs from customers to pay for low-sulphur fuel. Hapag-Lloyd hopes its mechanism will answer those criticisms by showing how the calculation is made
German line will also conduct small-scale trials of LNG and scrubbers as it seeks to meet IMO 2020 sulphur limits
