West of England highlights risks of nickel ore carriage after near-miss

Last October, the Emerald Star bulker sank following liquefaction of nickel ore. A recent near-miss incident on a vessel en route to China after loading in the Philippines has prompted the West of England club to remind its members of the risks

Following discharge and after independent tests, it was found that the cargo was unsafe for loading and carriage
