HNA’s attempted sale of box leasing business was ‘overpriced’

Chinese conglomerate talked to several interested buyers about the disposal of its container leasing business early in 2018, but failed to strike a deal with an offer price close to the assets’ book value, according to a negotiator

HNA is reportedly revisiting its plan to sell both Seaco and Cronos, which it acquired between 2011 and 2015 for a total of more than $1.6bn, but the price is little changed.
