ILA members ratify US Gulf and east coast labour contract
Agreement on a new six-year contact for stevedores working the US eastern seaboard follows June’s tentative agreement between unions and employers USMX. The accord includes salary increases and shields against automation, in a deal ILA president Harold Daggett says could be the best ever for organised labour
New master contract replaces the existing accord expiring at the end of this month and will run through to September 2024
