Costamare second-quarter profit beats expectations
Despite a seasonal slowdown in the container charter market, leading Greece-based owner Costamare was able to unveil a high number of new charters that included some decent day rates as it posted earnings that beat analyst forecasts. At the same time the controlling Konstantakopoulos family once again opted to plough their cash dividends in full into new shares in the company, as they have done each quarter for the last two years
