IMB warns of persistent piracy risk in Gulf of Guinea
The International Maritime Bureau’s biannual report reveals that the number of piracy incidents in the major trouble hotspots has dropped year on year, with the exception of the Gulf of Guinea. The region accounted for all crew kidnappings to have taken place this year, but the IMB warned the official figures are masking the true scale of the problem
