Maritime still ambivalent about new technology

A new survey of the maritime industry’s attitude to Internet of Things-based solutions has found a lack of in-house skills and an entrenched ambivalence to new technologies. Two-thirds of respondents said they would use external partners for some or as much as possible of their efforts to develop IoT solutions. Shipping has more tech laggards than similar industries, however there is a vanguard of tech leaders
