IACS needs to become more agile, chairman warns
The International Association of Classification Societies may need to reconsider its leadership structure if it is to adapt to the changing pace of regulation and the shipping market. Current IACS chair Knut Ørbeck-Nilssen has helped revise membership criteria this year, but warned that more needed to be done to respond to members' needs in a timely fashion.
