Beijing prepares retaliatory tariffs worth $3bn on US imports
China's commerce ministry says a proposed list of targets comprises 128 US items. Beijing is looking to impose a 15% tariff on US imports such as fresh fruit, dried fruit and nut products; wine; processed ethanol; American ginseng; and steel pipes. A 25% import duty is proposed for items such as pork products and recycled aluminium.
Tit-for-tat move comes in response to US plans to impose duties of 25% on up to $60bn in annual imports from China
