JAWAHARLAL Nehru port plans to spend Rs70bn ($1.78bn) over the next five years on infrastructure development, including deepening and widening its main navigation channel, buying new container-handling equipment and setting up the infrastructure for its fourth container terminal, writes Shirish Nadkarni.
