Chemical output growth forecast to slow down
GROWTH in European chemical output is forecast to slow down to 1.9% in 2008 from this year’s expansion of 2.6%, with the weak dollar vis-à-vis the strong euro, high oil prices and the recent loss in business momentum cited as restraining factors, writes John Zarocostas in Geneva.
