Looking ahead Asean free trade plans on track

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, left, stands with Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, as the 13th Association of South East Asian Nations conference started yesterday. Asean is on track to complete its free trade agreement with China in 2010, said Indonesian Trade Minister Mari Pangestu. She said talks between Asean and Chinese officials, which started in 2005, have progressed well in the area of traded goods and services and the two sides are now discussing investments. AP
