China’s iron ore appetite goes unabated
GLOBAL production of iron ore is expected to hit 1.6bn tonnes in 2007, up 11% year on year, as China’s shortage of high grade iron ore leaves it dependent on seaborne imports, according to Raw Materials group president Magnus Ericsson.
