MICHAEL Pilkington has joined Holman Fenwick & Willan’s Dubai office as a partner to focus on the firm’s insurance and reinsurance practice in the Middle East. Mr Pilkington joins the firm from Clyde & Co where he held the post of managing partner of Clyde’s Hong Kong office for five years having previously spent three years in its Dubai office.Dubai and the surrounding area is booming on the back of massive investment in the UAE, Mr Pilkington said.  “A myriad of projects are transforming not only Dubai but the entire region. I am looking forward to returning to Dubai where I spent three great years earlier in my career.”In addition to insurance and reinsurance, Holman’s Dubai office focuses on shipping and transport, trade and energy and corporate and commercial work.  Other recent moves include Richard Jowett relocating from Dubai to Melbourne and trade and energy partner Chris Quennell moving in the opposite direction.
