Daehan mega yard starts operations
WHAT is expected to be the world’s largest shipbuilding facility has started operations in South Korea. Daehan Shipbuilding, part of the Daeju Group, will feature three massive dry docks when construction work is completed in 2011. The 735 acre shipyard’s first dry dock, 310 m x 72 m, has already entered service, with work on the two remaining dry docks due to start at the beginning of 2008.
