THE International Group meetings of correspondents is a relatively recent phenomenon, the first having taken place at Bristol in 2001 and more recently in London 2005; both have attracted a great deal of interest. Although the conferences are the shop window of this now high-profile sector, the P&I clubs have been co-operating actively in this area through an International Group sub-committee for many years.
