Commission pushes for ‘special area’ status
WITHOUT the well-established north-south/east-west international sea lanes that run through the Caribbean Sea, there would probably be no transhipment business to speak of, at least not in the larger centres like Freeport in The Bahamas, the three Caribbean-facing hubs in Panama and the Kingston Container Terminal in Jamaica.
