Maersk’s Buffalo soldier Panamax boxship is delivered
GERMAN shipyard Volkswerft Stralsund has delivered the fifth panamax containerships ordered by The Maersk Co, the UK arm of AP Moller-Maersk. The 4,170 teu Maersk Buffalo will fly the Red Ensign amd its home port will be London. The ship was named by Alessandra Bucci (above). Volkswerft Stralsund. also part of the AP Moller-Maersk group, is building a series of seven ships for The Maersk Co which is one of the UK’s largest shipowners. The 52,400 dwt Maersk Buffalo is 294 m long with a beam of 32,2 m, and will be delivered after sea trials later this month.
