OBESITY influences ferry capacity as well as health. This is the Brightlingsea , a 1925-built vessel that used to carry up to 150 people between Felixstowe, Harwich and Shotley and on sea fishing and estuary rips. Its new owners must take into account the increased weight of potential passengers before they can restart a service.
