Class expert Rule tells Erika trial that ship’s defects were ‘not normal’
A FORMER senior Lloyd’s Register executive told the court hearing the Erika trial in Paris that he considered it unusual that structural defects of the kind found on the ill-fated tanker shortly before its break-up should be discovered on a ship a little more than a year after it had undergone a special five-year survey.
