Hamworthy inks LNG reliquefaction contracts
UK marine engineering group Hamworthy has won orders to supply eight liquid natural gas (LNG) reliquefaction systems worth more than £20m from South Korean shipbuilders Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering and Samsung Heavy Industries. Daewoo has ordered equipment for seven LNG carriers and Samsung equipment for one vessel. The equipment for all eight ships, which will serve the Qatargas 3 and 4 LNG trains, will be delivered during 2008.
