IOC makes $1.5bn Congo oil play
INDIA’S largest refiner, Indian Oil Corp, has declared its intention of buying the equity stake owned by French energy firm Maurel & Prom in the currently producing M’Boundi and Kouakouala oilfields and a few other exploration areas in the Congo at an anticipated price of around $1.5bn, writes Shirish Nadkarni in Mumbai.
