Cape Town centre to plug rescue gap
THE opening of a new Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Centre in Cape Town last week will plug another gap in the effective search and rescue coverage along the coast of Africa and out into the Indian and Atlantic Oceans, according to IMO Secretary-General Efthimios Mitropoulos.
