Stunted growth China box ports expected to increase throughput by 12% this year
BOX volumes at China’s ports are expected to climb by 12% this year to around 126m teu. But this is considerably less than the 21% surge in container volumes seen last year and reflects the toll taken on China’s export-led economy by recessions that have hit the US and Europe, writes Keith Wallis in Hong Kong.
