Another regal chapter QM2 leaves drydock after repairs
Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 has left the Blohm + Voss drydock in Hamburg after 20 days, departing for Southampton to start its next transatlantic voyage, writes Sandra Speares. Work at the yard has included a major overhaul of the ship’s four pods in conjunction with manufacturer Rolls-Royce, as well as routine maintenance on the bow thrusters and stabilisers, and the repainting and overhaul of lifeboats by manufacturer Schat-Harding.
