Capesize fails to capitalise on charter rate improvement
WITH close to 200 of the 800-strong capesize fleet idle in the Atlantic and Pacific basins, the slight lift in charter rates seen for smaller vessels has had no tangible impact on the over-tonnaged capesize market, writes Keith Wallis in Hong Kong.
