Piraeus firm Hellas seeks comfort in smaller sizes
GREATER stability of earnings in times of market turbulence can make the sector for smaller dry bulk carriers a more comfortable place to be, according to Dimitrios Lignos, managing director of Hellas Marine Services. Piraeus based Hellas Marine has specialised in the segments for handysize bulk carriers and smaller units of 6,000 dwt to about 15,000 dwt since it was established in 1999 as a technical manager for Orient Shipping Rotterdam, a commercial shipping operator.
