Ready to roll Celebrity Solstice in dock

GERMANY’S first post-panamax cruiseship newbuilding has been in Blohm + Voss’s Elbe 17 repair dock in Hamburg. The 122,000 gt Celebrity Solstice entered the dock on Monday after carrying out trial runs and is due to leave today. Built by Meyer Werft as the first in a series of five cruiseships, the 2,850-berth vessel is scheduled to be delivered to Celebrity Cruises on October 24 in Eemshaven. Its first seven-day cruise from Fort Lauderdale is planned for November. Ralf Witthohn
