A TURKISH ferry which sank with loss of life on Sunday was detained under its previous owner in April 2006 with a long list of serious safety deficiencies, including problems with load lines, navigation equipment, lifeboats and fire safety measures, Lloyd’s List has learned, writes David Osler.
