IT IS make or break time again for Poland's shipbuilding industry. The European Commission is threatening to force the country's three biggest newbuilding yards to repay at least €1.5bn ($2.1bn) in state aid the commission says was illegal if they are not privatised immediately. The government has promised that it will privatise, but has so far found no investors prepared to take over the yards under terms offered.
