LPG first as dual-fuel engine ingests boil off
A PIONEERING feature of the MAN machinery installed on Isabella Kosan is that one of the three auxiliary diesel genset engines has been specially adapted for dual-fuel operation, so as to be able to ingest evaporated gas emanating from the cargo. The measure, requested by the owner, obviates the “burning-off” or release to the atmosphere of the surplus gas remnants from the liquefied cargo.
