NO DOUBT at all about it: we need to look at a pile of iron ore or other unprepossessing muck in a new light. It is a valuable commodity, the price of which has soared over the past year. There are hedge fund managers trying to corner the market in it, sovereign wealth funds betting the prosperity of whole nations on these commodities. A copper-bottomed investment means even more than it once did.
