ROTTERDAM port is looking at installing a pre-gate scanner for all export containers, in one of the first signs that European Union ports believe US 100% box scanning legislation will become law. The Dutch port is “seriously investigating” the scanning of all export boxes at the port gate, said director for port planning and development Peter Mollema.
