Anti-trust probe and merger row spell double trouble for GdF
STATE-controlled French energy group Gaz de France came under a double attack yesterday. The European Commission announced it was opening new anti-trust proceedings against the company and unions sought a court injunction to prevent it proceeding with its already long delayed merger with private sector utilities group Suez.
